1 Bathroom A bright, updated second-floor condo a few minutes from the center of Playas del Coco, built for families and longer stays. One bedroom with a queen, a loft with two twin beds, and vaulted ceilings that make the whole place feel open and airy. Sleeps 4. The gated community wraps around a large free-form pool with a rock waterfall and a jetted spa, plus loungers, shade trees, and gardens. Kids can be at the pool in under a minute from the front door, and you can see it from the courtyard. There is a shared laundry on site and a big gated parking lot, which is not something every complex in Coco can offer. WHY FAMILIES LIKE THIS ONE The loft is the selling point. Two twin beds up an open hardwood staircase, overlooking the living room, so kids get their own space and parents get a real bedroom with a door and its own AC. The full kitchen means you are not eating out three times a day, and the on-site laundry means you can pack light and stay longer. Fiber internet runs up to 600 Mbps, so remote work during the day and streaming in the evening both hold up.

The condo is 60 square metres / 645 square feet, but the vaulted ceilings and the open loft make it live much larger than the number suggests. The living area, kitchen and breakfast bar are one open room with a big arched window at the front. The bedroom is separate and closes off, with its own AC and its own balcony.

Playas del Coco is one of the easiest towns in Guanacaste to visit with family. It is a real town rather than a resort strip, and a working fishing fleet still runs out of the bay. The main road has groceries, pharmacies, banks, bakeries, ice cream, dive shops and a long list of restaurants that will happily feed a table of six. Auto Mercado and Maxi Pali are both minutes away.
The beach runs three kilometres of dark sand with calm, swimmable water most of the year, and the sunsets are the best in Guanacaste. It is about a 20-minute walk from the gate or five minutes by car.
Playa Ocotal, quieter and good for snorkeling, is about 10 minutes by car. Playa Hermosa is about 15. Snorkel and dive boats to the Catalina Islands leave right from the bay. Rincon de la Vieja volcano, with hot springs, mud baths and waterfalls, is about an hour and a half.
Liberia International Airport (LIR) is about a 30-minute drive, 27 km.

You have your own front door. Park inside the gated lot, come up the exterior staircase to the second floor, and let yourself in with the lockbox code we send the day before you arrive.
Guests have full private use of the condo and the balcony, plus access to the community pool, the jetted spa, the gardens and the shared laundry.

Laundry is shared and on site, and it is token operated. You buy tokens from the gardener, who is here every day except Sunday, and we will point you to him at check-in.
The condo is on the second floor, reached by an exterior staircase, and the loft is reached by an open staircase. Worth knowing if stairs are an issue for anyone in your group.
The beach is about a 20-minute walk from the gate, or about five minutes by car. The shops, restaurants and services at Plaza Colonial are a short walk.
