THE LIVING SPACE
Step inside and the first thing you notice is the volume. Soaring double-height ceilings open above a warm hardwood staircase with wrought-iron railings, and colorful Costa Rican folk art brings the walls to life. The open-plan main floor flows naturally from a generous sectional sofa to a hardwood dining table that seats six comfortably. A wall-mounted flat screen and individual AC units keep evenings just as comfortable as mornings, and a dedicated work desk tucks neatly to one side for anyone bringing a laptop along.
THE KITCHEN
Through the granite breakfast bar, the kitchen is genuinely equipped for cooking. Floor-to-ceiling white cabinetry runs all three walls, granite counters stretch generously across the workspace, and stainless appliances include a full range, dishwasher, and side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker. Four hardwood bar stools pull up to the bar for casual mornings over coffee.
THE BEDROOMS
On the ground floor, the first bedroom opens directly onto the private terrace through sliding glass doors, blurring the boundary between indoors and out. The second bedroom downstairs, has two twin beds with beautiful panoramic windows. Upstairs, two additional bedrooms branch off the mezzanine level: a bright queen room with a large picture window framing the tropical canopy, and one king suite, each with sliding glass doors to their own private balconies overlooking lush garden greenery. Every bedroom is individually air-conditioned with a ceiling fan. The primary bedroom has a king bed, and en suite bathroom, while the second bedroom upstairs has access to the bathroom just off the hallway. Each showcases marble-tiled bathrooms fitted with frameless glass showers, rain heads, and granite vanities.
THE OUTDOOR LIVING
Step outside and the wraparound terrace immediately earns its place as the social heart of the villa. A propane BBQ with an outdoor prep sink anchors one end, a six-person dining table fills the middle, and sun loungers and Adirondack chairs invite you to simply stay put. Bromeliads, cordylines, and palms fill the garden beds beyond the iron railing with tropical color. When the mood for a longer swim strikes, the community pool is steps away: a generous, brilliantly blue pool rimmed by silver Bismarck fan palms, with an open-air rancho clubhouse and sun loungers surrounding it. Pedestrian pathways wind through the beautifully maintained grounds.
THE COMMUNITY AND BEACH
Playa Ocotal, a secluded black-sand cove and one of the few Blue Flag certified beaches in the region, is a two-minute walk. The calm, clear water is ideal for snorkeling directly off the beach. Father Rooster, the legendary beachfront bar and restaurant, is steps from the sand. Playas del Coco, with its restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, and nightlife, is a five-minute drive.
CLUB AT COCO BAY (Additional Fee)
Guests may purchase a membership to The Club at Coco Bay, located minutes away. The Club features a large tropical pool with waterslide, lit tennis and pickleball courts, a full fitness center, yoga pavilion, spa, full-service restaurant, and private access to the Ocotal Beach Club on the beach. Membership is at an additional cost and not included in the rental rate.
